be done from 25.01.2010) followed by sending a hard copy of the online
application bearing the serial number of the online application. The
application/hard copy needs to be signed and supported by attested copies of the
certificates along with DD should be forwarded to Director, IICT, Hyderabad,
on or before 02.03.2010. Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only)
in case of OBC/UR candidates, in the form of Demand Draft valid for atleast 6
months, drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology,
payable at Hyderabad should be enclosed with application form. At the back of
the DD indicate your name and date of birth. Application Form without
application fee will be rejected. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH
category and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of fee.
Filled in application may be sent in an envelope superscribing “Application for
the post of ………. Post Code …….” To the Recruitment Section, Indian
Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad 500 607 so
as to reach on or before 02.03.2010. Applications received after the last date are
liable to be rejected. Candidates should specifically note that the applications
received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes
wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) will not be entertained
by this Institute.
2. Candidates from abroad: The completed application, accompanied with an
application fee of US $25, in the form of Demand Draft valid for atleast 6 months,
drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, payable at
Hyderabad, must reach before the last date of receipt of applications.
3. The number of vacancies indicated against each category is provisional and may
vary at the time of selection.
4. Mere fulfilment of minimum prescribed qualifications, experience etc. as per
advertisement will not vest any right on any candidate for being considered for
interview. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications
received for the posts and organise a written test or seminar if considered
necessary for short-listing the candidates to be called for interview. Only such of
those candidates who in the opinion of the Screening Committee, suiting the
Institutional requirements, will be called for interview. Candidates called for
interview will be paid single second class rail fare including reservation to and fro
by the shortest route from the place of residence/actual departing station
whichever is nearer to Secunderabad/ Hyderabad.
5. The decision of the Director, IICT in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance
or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination/interview
will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will
be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her agency.
6. As the Screening of applications will be done on the basis of information
furnished by the applicants, it is necessary that only accurate, full and correct
information is furnished by the applicants. Furnishing of wrong/false information
will be a disqualification and IICT will NOT be responsible for any of the
consequences of furnishing such wrong/false information.
7. The period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work wherever
prescribed shall be counted w.e.f. the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum
educational qualifications required for that grade.
8. The upper age limit will be reckoned as on 02.03.2010 which is relaxable as per
Government orders in force from time to time in respect of SC/ST/OBC/
Physically Challenged and Ex-servicemen as per rules in only those cases where
the posts are reserved for the respective communities.
9. Relaxation in age limit upto 5 years may be allowed to Council/Government/
Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector employees in accordance with the instructions
and orders issued by the Government of India from time to time in this regard.
10. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applicable for persons who had
ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during the
period of 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 subject to production of a certificate from the
District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had
ordinarily resided OR from any other authority designated in this behalf by the
Government of J & K State to the effect that he/she had ordinarily been domiciled
in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during the period from 01/01/1980
to 31/12/1989.
11. Relaxation in age, qualification and/or experience in deserving cases may be
permitted by DG, CSIR at any stage of selection.
12. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered
only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the
applicant will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment
orders, if selected. However, advance copy of the application may be submitted
before the closing date.
13. Canvassing in any form or bringing of any influence, political or otherwise, will
be treated as a disqualification.
14. Deserving candidates may be considered for higher start of pay. The positions
carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of the
same pay and status stationed at Hyderabad.
